Truck driver gets ill taken to hospital was there for 3 days would it be consider workman comp/his health insu?

They took his health insurance card out of his wallet but he was on the job when he became illTruck driver gets ill taken to hospital was there for 3 days would it be consider workman comp/his health insu?
Unless he got sick from something related to his job it is his own insurance that pays. Comp only pays when you are hurt on the job. EX: while performing tasks from the job you drop something on your foot and break it, that is comp. If you get the flu, that is your own insurance. My husband was on comp when he got hit in the face at work by a steel rod and it broke all the bones in the left side of his face. When he had his heart attack, his insurance paid, it had nothing to do with the job and actually happened before getting hurt at work. Sorry, but his insurance pays. My brother drove tractor-trailers for 35 years. He had 6 heart attacks and 1 stroke in that time but never got to draw comp for it and couldn't get disability. He finally got disability when he got sugar and had to take 4 shots a day, now he takes 7 shots a day. You are allowed on pills for sugar but not shots if you drive tractor -trailer. Work man's comp is when you get hurt or injured on the job. If the truck driver came down with a bout of the flu it's not considered as work man's comp. Workman's comp is when the company picks up the tab for an employee who gets hurt or injured on the job. Also, if an employee gets sick from, lets say, bad fumes while working on the job and it's the company's fault, then it's work man's comp.
