Im building a computer...Ill list all the stuff below but the graphics card is DDR3. will it work with compute?

I am a Gamer, World of warcraft, COD4..ect. Im build a gmaeing computer, but the graphics card is DDR3, is that compatiable with my motherboard...ect?

here is what my system is going to be build of:

NO IT WILL NOT WORK.

YOU HAVE CHOSEN AN

Nvidia Graphics Card.

THIS MOTHERBOARD ONLY SUPPORTS

Ati Graphics Cards.

Change your motherboard or Change your graphics card

Ask someone on here to help build you one. Or ask on a gaming website for abit of help.

Also, the case you want to buy is a 'De-Activated Item'

This means they are looking for a new supplier, or the item is off the lines. Check the last sale with them, or E-Mail them and ask them about the case.

Put your budget up and i may be able to help you with some parts and what to get.

Oh Shut Up Dean B. This was a simple answer for this particular question. Why complicate things? He has just said he is building a GAMING PC. Why waste money??? Buy an Nvidia Chipset for the same price?

If the motherboard has PCI-e *16 yes a GDDR3 Graphics Card will work whatever chipset. But buy brand wise. You can easily get the same mo-board for Nvidia Cards

As a systems builder I have come across this scenario many times.

Using an ATi card in a motherboard with an Nvidia chipset is entirely feasible, however as i say, you will not be able to use 2 Nvidia cards in SLI mode as the ATI chipset does not support this.

So yes, it will work, however from my experience I have noticed some stability issues in the past, which I believe can only be attributed to driver clashes.

Since then though, I have since stopped building ATi/Nvidia combinations.

In conclusion, yes they will work, however you can expect stability and performance issues unless the driver software has been sorted out, which is unlikely since each manufacturer want you to combine only their own chipsets and GPU's.

Why not just get the same MoBo but support for the Nvidia Set? Nvidia cards in my opinion are better anyway and he's picked an Nvidia card so let the user decide.Im building a computer...Ill list all the stuff below but the graphics card is DDR3. will it work with compute?
The Ram on your graphics card is independent of your motherboard so Yes ... the DDR3 on your Graphincs card will be compatible with your MoBo
Yes it will work, graphics card memory is separate from motherboard memory.
Wow, Kapow is another ';Yahoo Expert';, thers no such thing as ATi or Nvidia only.

Now if you were gonna try to use Crossfire or SLi, then yes you would hit problems.(so if you pan on getitng another 8600 in a few years you may want to look for a diffrent MoBo)

GDDR3 is seperate from the normal RAM, as long as the motherboards has a PCI-E 16X slot it will work ( which the motherbaord does have)

If your going to get a Asus MoBo look for one of the new ones that have ExpressGate, its a pretty nifty feature.(and SLi Supprot for the dual 8600 support down the line)
