My two cats will not get along and I think one is ill.?

I have two cats and the one went out of the house and did not come back for a week and then when it got back, it saw the other cat and then bolted out the door and we did not see it again for another week. Now the cat is being kept inside, but it refuses to go near the other cat. It would rather poop in the shower then use the same litter box as the other one. It will also rather not eat then eat near the other cat. The cat was throwing up blood today and it just wanted to go out, so i let it. What is the problem with the cat (is he sick) and why has it been denying the love that the other cat is trying to give it?My two cats will not get along and I think one is ill.?
Your cat is throwing up blood and you let it go back outside? This cat needs to be at a vet ASAP!!! Yes, he is very sick. If you started barfing blood, wouldn't you be a little concerned and go to the doctor? Get them separate litter boxes, and feed them separately if they are having problems together, and get your cat to the vet TODAY!! Cats sense when members of their pack are sick, and will remove themselves to avoid getting sick and allow the other cat to just die. Please get him to the vet, and do NOT let him back outside!!My two cats will not get along and I think one is ill.?
Okay, Your cat is probably vomiting blood due to stress and not eating, there is also I good likelihood of some illness going on as well. You really do need to take him to the vet as soon as possible.

The not using the litter box is probably due to either it's illness or the stress he is under form not getting along with your other cat. Unfortunately a cat's way of communicating something is wrong is through litter box usage, again first step is to take them to the vet.

If the other cat is really trying to be nice and he wont accept it, it is probably again due to not feeling well.

For the future, if a cat is acting strange (in any way) always take it to the vet and never let it outside. Cats are masters at hiding illnesses, so it is up to us to watch for odd behavior.

Cats know each other by scent. Your cat is sick and its scent is not the same any more. The sick cat needs to go to the vet and soon. I hope your cat comes back so you can get it medical treatment. When the cat is well enough you will have to re introduce it to the other cat. Letting them get to know each other again. 2 litter boxes and 2 feeding stations is the best suggestion I have seen. Keeping the sick cat in a room of its own is the safest thing. You don't want it to spread anything to the other cat. Are both of your cats up on their vaccines? When was the last time they were at the vets for a check up. Call your vet and make an appointment for both of them to make sure the one is healthy and the other can get treatment.
