Will i get denied with an under 21 license even though ill be 21?

sooo, im turning 21 on tuesday and i still have a license that says ';under 21'; and expires in 2011 (clearly says in red when my 21st birthday is), will i be able to use this license to get into bars/clubs until my over 21 license comes in the mail a week or so after? or do you think bouncers at bars/clubs and liquor stores will give me a hard time because it says under 21 still?


and i live in boston is that matters at all!

No it doesn't matter. If you hand it to them and they say no just tell them to look at the date, which they normally will do anyways. The red flag on it isn't to make them deny you , it is to draw attention to your id and make them look more closely at it. If it is tues and you are officially 21 then you are good to go. How long ago did you go apply for your license? Here in Michigan we apply about a month prior, and usually, 90% of the time we recieve it the day before or the day of our birthday. Most of the time its on the day of our birthday though.
Most bartenders and bouncers will look at your actual D.O.B. and not the warnings. The warnings actually make me less suspicious of a fake.


The warning should read ';Under 21 until MM/DD/YYYY so it will be fine.
It will depend on where you go. Some places have a machine that can scan your ID to verify that you are over 21. Where I live the gas station that I went to on my 21st b-day scanned my ID to check and it played Happy Birthday for me!
if your license is valid you should have no problem. bars and clubs just need to be able to prove you are not in there underage. so you won't be underage and you'll have valid proof of that so you should be fine.
A lot of clubs/bars refuse to sell to anyone with an underage license, even if you have turned 21.
You should be ok as long as it's your ID and is real. Bring additional ID to be sure. Keep in mind just because you will now be 21 it does not mean you can go crazy!
Depends on the bouncer/security. Sometimes they care, sometimes they don't.
you wont even get another license until your 22. so yeah it works it says under 21 until your birthday so unless the bartender is a complete retard u should be okay
