What would happen if i become ill while visiting the us from the uk and i have no health insurance?

This is something that is supposed to be used as a last resort.

If you are sick go to a hospital. They cannot turn you down due to lack of insurance or inability to pay.

When they give you the legal form to fill out, cross off the part that says you have insurance, and clearly write on there that you have no means to pay.

Make sure you tell them upfront about your inability to pay also.

They may send you a bill, but will quickly give up because if you have stated you have no insurance and no means to pay, they have no legal recourse to collect from you.

You will have to pay for your medications once released from the hospital though, and soetimes those can be expensive. Before being discharged, ask for medicine samples, that way you don't have to pay any out of pocket costs.

I hope you don't get sick! What would happen if i become ill while visiting the us from the uk and i have no health insurance?
You will have to pay more for your medication if you have no insurance to cover for your medical needs. Those with insurance have discounted rates and the fees you paid cannot be compensated by insurance. Practically, you will pay all the fees and your pocket might ran out of cash. What would happen if i become ill while visiting the us from the uk and i have no health insurance?
if u were on the verged of dieing they would have to c u but if u were just sick they probley wouldnt
If you have an emergency, any emergency room has to treat you by federal law.

Enjoy your trip and I hope you don't need this info!
You would die.
If you needed medical assistance, and had no insurance, you would need to pay...before they treated you, and in the USA medical costs are outrageous.

take out medical insurance, its a tiny cost compared to even one appointment with a doc, let alone a hospital.
US Hospitals are required to provide emergency service. You would be billed at your residence shortly afterwards. A payment plan could then be decided or you can tell them to kiss your ****.
Depends on the USA letting you in and the conditions of your application for a VISA. But, most times we take care of a person regardless of ability to pay, once you in. We do the illegals so, why not a visitor with proper credentials.

Do you have Friends here? They can help you if you have trouble.
If you have an emergency they can't turn you away. That said if it isn't life threatening and it's a private hospital they will send you to a public hospital (funding). The best thing to do would be to know where those were wherever you are going. University hospitals usually always have public funding. All they can do is bill you.
There are plenty of public hospitals that recieve federal money and would have to treat you.
