Now that Kim Jung ill has chosen his son as his sucessor, will we see a different North Korea?

';North Korea's ailing leader has chosen his youngest son -- who is just 26, attended a Swiss boarding school and reportedly admires basketball great Michael Jordan -- as heir to the family dynasty that rules the secretive state, South Korea's intelligence service told lawmakers in Seoul. ';

I guess we'll see if absolute power changes his perspective on things once he takes over the country.Now that Kim Jung ill has chosen his son as his sucessor, will we see a different North Korea?
No, it'll probably be the same under his offspring, as the ';apple doesn't fall far from the tree.';
Yes, the military will kill him less than a year after he takes over.
First as the American public we don't even know what year he was born in exactly. So it's hard to judge. No doubt the military and Kim will still have backdoor influence. Chances of a different N.Korea are low. However it all depends. Nothing is written in stone in foreign policy.
I don't think his older brothers are going to be happy about that decision.
1) North Korea wants nukes to protect itself.

2) The new leader there will surely be easier to deal with.

3) If we end the 30,000 soldiers bordering their south, they will open up to economic trade with the south - and then the world

It is a great opportunity to make an offer of peace - show us what you can sell, tell us what you want to buy type of deal. Friendship and trade.

This would for sure lead to a new, more free North Korea who can not help but have its citizens exposed to the world and other cultures.

Our government should stick to its duties. Invite world leaders to dinners, be their friends, and secure new trade partners - not starting wars or maintaining 50 year old never-to-win false conflicts.
Like Father, like son.
