Are RELIGIOUS ppl defying the will of GOD when they receive medical treatment when they are ILL?

For all the religious folks, if God controls your fate etc. and He decides when your time is up, then shouldn't you just accept your imminent death instead of trying to prolong your lifeAre RELIGIOUS ppl defying the will of GOD when they receive medical treatment when they are ILL?
please......no. get a doctor. Are RELIGIOUS ppl defying the will of GOD when they receive medical treatment when they are ILL?
God gave us medical science so we could help ourselves.
Jesus said ';only the sick need a physician';...
If you're a Jehova witness yes
God does not control my fate...

God gave some people the ability to understand how to heal others...

God wants you to be humble and to ask for help when you need it.
NO ITS HUMAN NATURE TO TRY TO SERVIVE AT ALL COSTS
Yeah, religious people should just pray rather than receive medical treatment. It would save the NHS a lot of money and we could all laugh at them when they realise they've been lied to and their god isn't real. Hahaha.
Logic 1.%26gt; God made a man Doctor, so a man was made sick and the doctor was made to attend, earn for his food!!!!!!
God gave us brains and told us to use it and stop go begging to him every two minutes.
There are some that wont have blood transfusions but they still vaccinate their children shurley the the same rules apply for this
Denitely not! God has given all of us the wisdom to decide on what's good for us. If you are ill, definitely you'll not wait in bed until you die. Go and see a doctor for proper medical treatment and attention. Follow the doctor's instructions, take your medicine and all precautionary measures to prevent recurrence of your ailment. However, if everything else has failed, then you have to surrender yourself to your Creator. But definitely you have not offended him at all in your attempt to prolong your life. God knows everything, including the condition of your heart.
Well if thats so, why has he given humans a choice to develope medical and surgical skills to prolong life? if every thing is down to god he would'nt have done it would he?
Your understanding is flawed, unless you are referring to Hindus. Christians do not believe that God controls our fate as you suggest. What do you think we are, robots with no free will! It's a complex matter of us making wrong or right decisions, and God intervening when and where necessary to achieve His will.
what a stupid question
No, the bible teaches be watchful and wait... it also declares God wants us to live. T

When paul in he bible was imprisoned he prayed for his release many times, God came, released him. We are to seek God through trials and tribulations,

It says when people are ill pray for them, night and day,

Be concerned it says look after the weak and poorly it teaches of family and family love, there is no greater more loving family than the family of christ.

The bible also teaches to be careful of the company we keep and prepare our hearts and minds for life in heaven eternally. That is what being a christian is about, the next life and living for God, you could say to get into that mode, i hope its o.k. to say that, i pray Gods mercy.

The bible teaches to not be led by the doctrine of the world (evil words and desire/influence), keep good company, the bible also warns us to stay out of the night as we are children of the light, so walk as children of the light, it says. We are to walk with God Live for each other, paul the apostle was hidden from people hunting him and he lived a long God fearing life, Christians took care, at times worshipping in secret.... Teachings of paul answer all this, read your bible.
God has given so many people gifts to heal, not just through our faith, but through medicine also. There is a reason for everything, even the fact that we have doctors, of all catagories, that treat people, medically, on a every day basis. God gave them the opportunity to have this intelligence to give treatment to people that are sick. Faith based healing is not the only thing that we have in this world to depend upon for miracles, God works through a large realm to heal, but it also says not to tempt God. If you have access to get good medical treatment by other means, do so. Observe all the facts and then think about it, why did these people, (doctors), have the ability to heal?
I've had 3 heart attacks. Those doctors don't know a thing about medicine or health.
Why should we give up, %26amp; not seek medical treatment. In Jesus time, there was many that was sick %26amp; sought healing, %26amp; Luke in the bible was a physican, There is divine healing %26amp; there is healing, many people gets divine healing mix up with healing, Divine healing is when all means of medical treatment %26amp; all means of what a doctor can do, %26amp; they say that there is no hope, Then God can heal that person, that is devine healing, Plus there is also another type of healing, And that is with doctors %26amp; medicines, God gave the medical profession the knowledge to use medicines for healings. But through it all even that type of healing is also from God. But it is not consider divine healing, Like for instance you break your arm, a doctor sets it But through the process of the law of healing God causes that arm to heal.
God gave people the knowledge of medicine so that we can get help. No matter what we do if it is our time to go, then no medical treatment will help. We are to take care of our bodies. If we have Jesus in our hearts our bodies are the temple of God. We shouldn't take our health for granted.
no
Isn't it funny how they discount science when it has to do with anything that they don't agree with but when it'll help them they're all for it.
Absolutely not!!!! God gave the doctors the knowledge and abilities they have, just like HE gave everyone the knowledge and abilities they possess.
I disagree. From a theist standpoint, God has provided the medical assistance FOR you, and this is His way of helping.
I suppose some people do that. Jehovah's refuse medical help sometimes. Bit weird if you ask me. However ';no'wt queer as folk';
Allah tell us to take care of ourselves...
I have often thought of the very same question you have just asked. The implications of this question go a lot further than if they are defying the will of God, it also poses the question why do they want to live in this world when they could slip into the next.

One reason I believe some seek medical treatment is because they do *not* have such a firm belief in God as they think they do. God provides them comfort, but at the same time they must have some doubt.
God gave us physicians, science, and medicine for a reason. He gave us intelligence to use these things.

';Honor the physician for his skill comes from God.';
If God gave us physicians and god gave us medical treatment, and all that is OK,

Then why do people think Abortion is wrong? After all, God gave us that too, right?
its a mute point, religious people don't know what God's will is because they don't know what God wants. Humanity has lots of Gods and none of those have told us anything new in 2 millenium, religious people have failed to ask a single new question of their God in 2 millenium, and why ? because their middle man to God has told them it is blasphemous..
God told us to have dominion over the earth. That means (at least to me) that if there is good sound scientific practice out there, I should use it. He also said that our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost. It is God's will/commandment that we take proper care of the temples.
According to the bible, they should: Get two birds. Kill one. Dip the live bird in the blood of the dead one. Sprinkle the blood on the patient seven times, and then let the blood-soaked bird fly away. Next find a lamb and kill it. Wipe some of its blood on the patient's right ear, thumb, and big toe. Sprinkle seven times with oil and wipe some of the oil on his right ear, thumb and big toe. Repeat. Finally find another pair of birds. Kill one and dip the live bird in the dead bird's blood. Wipe some blood on the patient's right ear, thumb, and big toe. Sprinkle the house with blood 7 times.

This is the state of the art of christian medical science. But then since when do christians ever do what is commanded of them in the bible.
