Help pleasee. Just need 4 answers on my math!!. Ill pick u for the best answer & u will probably find it easy.?

it says the eighth power of a number divided by the fifth power of that number is 27. What is the number? Hint: write 27 as a power.





A number squared and then multiplied by its cube is 32. What is the number?





What is the median of the data 79, 64, 58, 60, 71?





What is the range of the data 79, 64, 58, 60, 71?

1. 3 is the correct answer. 3^8/3^5= 27, though i did not write 27 as a power.





2. answer is 2. 4*8= 32





3. 64 is the median, the middle number in the organized data set





4. 21 is the range- the largest number minus the smallest.

1) LET THE NUMBER BE X


X^8/ X^5 = 27


X^3 = 27


X = cube root of 27 = 3


X =3





2) X^2 * X3 = 32


X^5 = 32


X = 2





3) Median


Step 1: Arrange the numbers in ascending order


58,60,64,71,79


So the median is the middle number and it 64





4) Range is the difference between the highest and the lowest values in a frequency distribution.


Step 1: Arrange the numbers in ascending order


58,60,64,71,79


Step 2:


In the above distribution


The largest number is 79


The smallest value is 58


Formula = largest number - smallest number


79-58 = 21


Range = 21

(n^8)/(n^5)=27


n^3=3^3


n=3

(n^2)(n^3)=32


n^5=32


n=2





Third)


Median is number that falls in middle of data set when ordered in ascending or descending order.


Going up: 58, 60, 64, 71, 79... so 64 is in the middle, making it the median.





Fourth)


Range is highest value minus lowest value. Same data set gives 79 - 58 which makes a range of 21.

then you have x^8 / x^5 = 27





when you divide indices you substract, therefore





x^(8-5) = 27


x^3 = 27


we know that 27 = 3^3, so you can change it to a power:





x^3 = 3^3





therefore x = 3.





Or you could have simply said





X^3 = 27, therefore





x = (cube root of) 27


x = 3
1) 3^3


2) 2


3) 64


4) 21
